aktpics > Day 211 - Casa de Tiethof. Its not the Taj Mahal but I do have cold beer and internet. Not to mention the wheat. I guess I've got quite a bit of work to do before I am ready to move.
aktpics > Day 244 - Jean-Yves,Marie and Corinne in NYC.Today I got to meet fellow smug-mugger JY (Ifocus). We took some pictures,did a lot of walking and had a lovely dinner. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet them and I had a fantastic day. This was taken at the Heartland Brewery near South Street. Lens blur added unintentionally and I was in too much of a hurry to get back to my dinner to check. I was trying to look like the waiter but, as Marie pointed out, it would have been more believable had the sunglasses not been hanging from my shirt. Oh well, at least the beer is in focus :) It was a great day, come back any time!
aktpics > Day 214 - Sports Photographer II. Although I am still struggling with little league, I think I will avoid photographing shooting sports altogether.
aktpics > Day 339 -Brian Hart.Brian was in NJ on business. In fact, he was staying very close to my favorite restaurant, Iberias. We shared some sangria, rodesio and great conversation. I really enjoyed meeting Brian and I hope we can get together again.
aktpics > Day 272 - Merlin's table.I really don't play pool anymore anyway. At some point during a game he would jump up and attack the balls. He is also fascinated by where they go after they are sunk and the noise they make on their way there. I left the two balls where they are and I would be surprised if they weren't both off of the table by morning. I just downloaded Lightroom 2. I am enjoying all of the new features. I am surprised that they haven't incorporated Import presets like they have with export. Am I the only person who would be interested in that?
aktpics > Day 195 - Dry Erase. This is the second idea I came up with yesterday. I was having a hard time trying to figure out how to pull it off but decided to give it a go anyway. The concept is what I wanted, but it is more subtle than I intended. I may revisit this some day.
aktpics > Day 193 - Happy Mothers Day. I had a wonderful time visiting my mother today. I got to do all kinds of fun things outside to help my mom celebrate. My sister and mom are still fostering cats and kittens for njcattitude.org. They are caring for 9 kittens and 3 cats, in addition to all of their own. Seems almost like a cat-hoarders apprentice program to me. :) They are extremely cute and sweet, though. I posted a bunch of shots in my cattitude gallery for those who can't seem get enough of cat and kitten pictures.
aktpics > Day 178 - My Assistant. Merlin is probably one of the most curious cats I know. Whenever I am doing something Merlin needs to be right in the middle of it. Most power tools don't even phase him. So when I set up for an SP, this is pretty much how it is.
