aktpics > Day 196 - Ole! I'm trying to give us all a hand with the economy. This is one of those shots where the "making of" was way more entertaining. Believe it or not, I was pretty much surrounded by people. Some were doing an interview, some were waiting for me to finish so they could have a turn and others were fascinated by my wireless shutter rig. There were even people at the "business end" of the bull.

I had another fantastic day in NYC taking lots of street shots. I wandered aimlessly again, but managed to take pretty much the same route as last time. Next time, different lens, different route. I posted today's shots HERE for those who are interested.
aktpics > Day 243 - GPS.I am pretty sure that the day that I got a gps is the day that I started enjoying taking long car trips.
aktpics > Day 134 - Cup O' Kitten. I have been helping my mom out with some light construction projects around the house, so I get to see these little guys quite often now.

I took a whole bunch yesterday but I was not too happy with the lighting or all of the extraneous lint and kitten hair which seems to be invisible until the flash goes off. I think I will take more today after grooming them with a lintbrush.
aktpics > Day 293 - Power Grab. This stuff really isn't as strong as I thought it would be.

I'm exhausted again today. I am not used to all of this physical labor in the humidity. It is a good tired feeling, though.

When I was relaxing on the couch trying to think of a POD my eyes landed on the power grab. I remembered seeing the commercial on TV where this guy is awakend by his neighbor hammering up some paneling. He goes over in his bathrobe with a tube of this stuff and glues up a sheet of paneling then he glues his hammer to the ceiling.

I took the two pictures last night and did the composite this morning. I created a layer mask by painting it on by hand. Halfway through I realized how tedious that is.
aktpics > Day 277 - Big.This is the largest size paper that my photo printer can handle, aside from the roll.

Sorry for the lame picture, but I was out of ideas and I didn't want to have to resort to taking a picture of my big toe.
aktpics > Day 343 - Ilprepared (12/06/2008)I guess it has been a while since I have been in the midwest in the winter time. Not exactly my idea of an RV vacation.

Although it did snow all day today at least it wasn't brutally cold and I was able to get a lot done on the RV today.
aktpics > Day 153 - Boots. My mom lets the kittens have the run of the upstairs when she's home so that they can socialize with the other cats. This little girl has been flirting with me quite a bit the last couple of days.
aktpics > Day 150 - SP ala Dry Erase. I only wish I could draw one half of one percent as good as that. Another creation spawned out of desperation.

I got home late (for me) after having a great dinner with Jill and her family, exhausted, fat and happy - but no POD yet. I was sitting at my desk and this idea came to me.

I was too tired to pull it off, but I took the picture of me in front of the white board anyway hoping that the next day I would be able to find a filter in PS that would make a photo look like a dry erase drawing. This was the colored pencil effect with the stroke size and weight almost as high as it goes.
aktpics > Day 96 - Morning Commute. This is my first day of being unemployed. I used to hate the Monday morning rush-hour most of all. Today, it is pretty enjoyable.

Day 293 - Power Grab.

This stuff really isn't as strong as I thought it would be.
