Day 349 - Go West, Young Man. (7/13/2009).I have been busy trying to prep for a cross-country road trip. I am taking my mom with me and we are going meet up with our cousins from Germany, who will be vacationing in the Bay Area. My mom will then fly back and I (with my 2 furry companions) will take my time coming home. For this trip I have 2 goals pertaining to photography: 1) I want to go to places really beautiful and take lots of pictures. Yosemite is one place I had in mind. 2) I would like to meet up with as many smugmuggers as I can. I have been really jealousE of Hillary this past year :) I am also looking forward to doing some street photography in SF. I will be stopping in NJ, Chicago, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, possibly Albuquerque, Grand Rapids (MI) and the Philly/Clevland area. I don't have any exact dates yet, but I am planing to be on the west coast before the 29th. So if you are on any of my stops or not too far out of the way, please drop me a line! Also, I would really welcome any suggestions for places to photograph. You can leave me a comment in my guestbook or at [my first name] at aktpics dot com. I am really excited about this trip and a little anxious about the RV making it. As you can see the fun never ends. I found a leak...hope its the only one.

A Picture of Myself...EVERY day...For a YEAR

The first question that comes to my mind is: What the hell was I thinking?

I guess the main reason, of course, is that I would like to improve upon my photography skills. I mean, if I take at least one picture EVERY friggin day for a year, HOW CAN THEY NOT GET BETTER? If they don't, I am sure one of my friends will break into my house and smash up all of my camera gear as a non-random act of kindness.
